We first met Coco Martin in Toronto for the International Film Festival, where the handsome and humble actor was promoting his breakthrough role in Picture This' THE MASSEUR, for which the Young Critics Circle in the Philippines awarded him its Best Performance Award in 2005.

Since then, he has starred in numerous films from prolific and world-renowned director Brillante Mendoza, among them SERVICE (SERBIS) and KINATAY, both of which were invited to the Cannes Film Festival.

He works steadily in TV as well, and this year, he won a (Philippine) Golden Screen Award in JAY for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role.
