At 14, he landed his first film role in Gérard Corbiau’s L’ANNEE DE L’EVEIL (THE YEAR OF AWAKENING), beginning a string of more and more important roles, first as Olivier in Agnieszka Holland's OLIVIER, OLIVIER and later, in the lead role in NENETTE AND BONI under the direction of Claire Denis, with whom he went on to make four additional films: BEAU TRAVAIL, FRIDAY NIGHT, THE INTRUDER and 35 RUMS.
