Carrie develops a crush on A-student Jonathan, but the boy has his romantic sights set on his lifelong friend, the apparently straight, basketball star Shane. Refusing to be discouraged, Carrie redirects her affections from Jonathan to Shane, which forces the latter to confront his feelings once and for all and make a momentous decision.
